How to Get Rid of Unwanted Facial Hair

remove facial hair
Many men and women have a big problem with surplus hair growth, especially that on their face. Men may not like having eyebrows that tend to meet over the bridge of their nose or sideburns that extend too far down below where their jawline starts. Women may feel embarrassed because they have a thin layer of hair over their lips, right below their nostrils. The good news is that it is always possible to remove excess facial hair temporarily - if you are willing to do this on a consistent basis, you may have a smooth face eventually that may look more attractive to you and the people you interact with.

One of the most common ways to remove excess facial hair is through waxing. You can either go to a professional waxing salon so they can do this for you or you can simply buy do-it-yourself waxing kits from a pharmacy that you can try out in private. The advantage with going to a pro is that they may be able to reach areas of your face that you don’t have a clear view of, even with a mirror. For example, if you are a guy who wants to remove sideburns then you have a problem because you can only tilt your face enough to see some areas but not the whole sideburn area. Letting a pro handle the waxing can also be good because waxing does entail some pain on your part – so you might hesitate to do all the waxing once you feel how painful it is.

Relying on DIY waxing kits at home also depends on your threshold of pain. It is cheaper of course than going to a waxing salon but you need to do it fast (such as when you pull away the waxing film from the hairy area) so that you don’t feel the pain so much as hairs get pulled from their roots. It can also be awkward since you might not know how much waxing to do to get the results you want. In addition, using some questionable DIY waxing sets might trigger an allergic reaction on your skin – which could be more painful and harmful than the hairy areas ever were.

Since you want to be as safe as possible when removing surplus facial hair, you may want to get help from a dermatologist first. Your dermatologist can not only advice you on good safe products for waxing but she can also check when you develop an allergic reaction to see how bad the damage is. Your other safe option when removing surplus hair is to use a sharp implement like an old fashioned razor blade to start scraping away the hair from the base. As long as you don’t slip and cut yourself, this should be a painless procedure that is approximately as effective as a do-it-yourself wax job could ever be.

Remember though that hair does grow back so you need to keep up the effort as part of your regular grooming routine for a lifetime to see consistent results. For  more information about hair removal or beauty tips, visit us online at Sheniko Beauty Store. We would love to hear from you!

How to Get Rid of Unwanted Hair on Your Face and Body

Hair Removal Methods

Unwanted hair can be a real nuisance and there are many ways you can get rid of them. Unwanted hair commonly occurs on the chin, upper lips, cheeks, fingers, arms, back, legs, feet, toes etc.

The growth of unwanted hair may occur due to many reasons, including genetics, certain hormones, use of certain medications (steroids) and a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome.

The following ways are a few approaches to hair removal. It is important to note that with some of these methods, hair will grow back eventually.

Shaving
Women prefer this method because it often does not cause any pain and it can be done very quickly. Shaving is ideal for hair removal of the arms, legs and facial hair (for men only). However, shaving can cause an embarrassing problem called ingrown hairs, usually on the legs and pubic areas.

Plucking
This is also called tweezing, and can be done with the use of tweezers. Plucking can be very painful and time consuming as it involves pulling one hair at a time, therefore should only be done for a few number of hairs, for example, when you want to make a few final touches to your eyebrows or remove awkward hairs from your chin etc. Plucking can result in scarring and ingrown hairs. Eyebrows may also be shaved with a special tool called an Eyebrow Razor that can be purchased online here.

Waxing
Hot waxing can be a painful way to remove your hair, but it can be done on large areas as well as small areas. Moreover, it can also be done at home, with a DIY sugar wax (sugaring) and at the salon. Waxing works for many people, however, it is not completely fail-safe as the hairs can break off instead of being completely pulled out. Make sure the wax is not too hot, or you can easily burn your skin. Avoid waxing if you use certain prescription medications, specifically acne creams such as Retin-A or medications such as isotretinoin, because you may just pull your skin off while doing so. It’s important that you go to a reliable salon if you want to remove your hair with these methods because burns, infections and wounds can occur.

Threading
Threading is a method in which a thread is twisted in a manner to pull the hair out. It is commonly used for small regions such as the upper lips, eyebrows and chin.

Hair removal creams
These are also called depilatory creams. Not all creams are the same, therefore, make sure you read the box properly to check it if matches your skin type. You must also make sure that it is suitable for use for a specific art, for example, hair removal creams for the pubic regions or your legs should not be used on the face. Hair removal creams can also cause skin allergies, therefore, read instructions carefully, do a small skin test and use products with caution.

Laser hair removal
This hair removal method is long-lasting and involves continued treatments, about four or more. This method works by using a laser that eliminates the hair bulb. This is a fairly expensive method compared to the aforementioned ones and can also cause in pain at times. Make sure you choose a highly trained and experienced doctor for this method.

The Cave Man Regimen Acne Cure

Caveman Regimen for Skin

Have you ever wondered that for most of you, your acne is caused by internal factors rather than external ones? We’re not talking about a simple zit or a pimple that pops out on our skin when we spend too much time out in the polluted environment, we are talking about the acne that is serious and dangerous and that stays on our skin forever.

This is a common observation that as soon as we hit puberty, our face starts taking this ugly, monster look that is covered with nothing but pimples and not to forget; all sizes and kinds of pimples. For some lucky people, the acne disappears in a couple of months or a year or so but for some of us, this acne haunts us for a good old time. Here, is where “Caveman Regimen” comes in.

What is Cavemen Regimen?

The theory behind this idea is fairly simple and can be proved using scientific ideas. When we hit puberty, our skin develops something that is termed as “acid mantle”. This acid mantle is basically a protective covering around our skin that is made up of sebum and sweat. This is a God gifted protection layer that protects our skin from bacteria and other harmful elements that can harm the skin. It’s acidic in nature with 5.5 as it’s pH.

This means that even if you don’t use all sorts of expensive products on your face in the hopes of getting rid of that acne, your natural skin care will take care of that acne.

When we use too many much artificial products, you are stripping your skin of the natural oils and acid mantle that it produces to protect your skin. That is why your face is the only area where you get acne and not on other body parts. These skin care products mess around with your face’s natural PH and produce acne by disturbing it.
How to use Cavemen Regimen?

You probably would have gotten the idea by now. The Cavemen Regimen requires you to throw away all those beauty products and use nothing on your face, not even water. Sounds creepy, right?

For some people, using water during Cavemen Regimen is perfectly fine but the actual idea doesn't allow water because tap water itself has many chemicals that affect your skin. It also dries up the skin and then forces you to use a moisturizer. Therefore, logical thinking is to not use even water.

As you stop using water, you will notice that after some time your face will develop some bits of dead skin. This dead skin is the layer that will protect your underneath new skin from the outside factors.

After a month or so, you can remove that dead mask with a wet cloth or cotton for skin as perfect and smooth as that of a baby. What are your thoughts?

7 Foods to Help you Burn Calories and Lose Weight

Trying to lose weight? Well if you are, please do not stop eating. That is the worse thing that you can do. Starvation diets can result in serious complications and disrupt the natural harmony of the bodily functions. It is thus not a healthy option to drastically change your diet by eating too less or not eating at all. Moreover, you are bound to regain the weight you lose by the end of the diet anyway, so let's talk about sustainable lifestyle changes that will produce long-term effects rather than short-term efforts than go in vain.

The best way to lose weight is by exercising and lowering your calorie intake but there are other ways too. Knowing which foods can help you burn fat, can do wonders for your weight loss goals. Add the following foods in your diet and you will look and feel healthy and slim like never before:

1. Citrus fruits

The best time to have citrus fruits is during breakfast as not only do they reduce fat by making great low-fat substitutes, they provide you with revitalizing energy to kick-start your day as well. Citrus fruits provide the body with quick energy to enhance its metabolism. Additionally, they are also rich in vitamin C, which is a perfect example of a fat burning agent as it boosts your fat metabolism.

Fruits are excellent choices for fat burning because they are natural and are packed with minerals and vitamins and also have a high water content. Thus, they have a very low calorie content and enhance metabolism by reducing cholesterol levels.

Some examples of citrus fruits include grapefruit, oranges, lemons, kumquats, tangerines, tomatoes, cherries, plums, raspberries and grapes. Mix these fruits up and make a fruit salad making your breakfast more lively, colorful and tasteful. You can also try to maintain a ‘citrus fruit only’ breakfast if you are aiming at burning fat around your waist and hips.

2. Vegetables

Many vegetables except for sweet potatoes, potatoes and yams contain very low calorie content and also contain vital vitamins and minerals that are healthy for the body and aid in quick fat loss. If you are fan of potatoes, cook them or bake them with their skin as their skin is a rich source of fiber.

Include vegetables like spinach, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, lima beans, artichoke, cabbage, cucumbers and carrots in your meal plans as they are packed with minerals and contain fewer calories at the same time. Vegetables do not contain fats and are low in carbohydrates. Cucumber makes an excellent salad component as it contains low calories, low carbs and fat, and a very high water content.

Cook your vegetables in a way that would preserve their goodness. Therefore, it is advisable that you steam, boil or stir fry them to in healthy fat substitutes such as olive oil, canola oil, soybean oil, sesame oil or sunflower oil.

3. Oats

Oats make a healthy breakfast because they are richer in insoluble fiber than any other nutrient. The fiber allows you to feel fuller and more satisfied with your meal, thus suppressing you hunger for a long period of time. Consuming food with high fiber content is an excellent way of burning fats from your body.

4. Lentils

Also known as edible pulses, these foods give you a sense of satiation and are also low in calories and rich in minerals. They are also rich in proteins and amino acids and are widely consumed in countries like India, in the form of lentil soups or broths. Ground lentils can also be used to make delicious foods, so be creative and come up with your own healthy recipes! They are rich in fiber and contribute to the reduction of bad-cholesterol levels, thus improving heart health as an added bonus!

5. Poultry

If you are a non-vegetarian, you were probably waiting for something meaty to kick into this list. Poultry is an excellent meat item as it is low in carbohydrates, fats and rich in proteins. Proteins are good for weight loss as they require a greater expenditure of energy to be digested and stored. Red meat, however, is a bad fat contributor; therefore, it is ideal to replace it with lean meats as much as possible. Consume lean cuts and avoid the skin as it is has a high fat content.

6.Fish

Fish is an excellent source of ‘good fats’ such as omega 3 fatty acids and omega 6 fatty acids, which are excellent weight loss agents. They also contain a low calorie, fat and carbohydrate content and are rich in essential proteins. Salmon, trout, mackerel and tuna are excellent fish varieties that are rich in good fats and make excellent meals for lunches and dinners.

7. Nuts

Almonds and walnuts make great snacks to satisfy your hunger between meals. A fistful of nuts is a perfect substitute for faster varieties such as junk foods, chips, burgers, hot dogs and fries. Almonds and walnuts are rich in healthy fats. Keep in mind that eliminating healthy fats from your diet just because they are ‘fats’ will increase your weight rather than the opposite.

And last but not least, remember to drink plenty of water. Water is the only consumable substance that actually does not have any calories. Although not counted as food, it is an excellent weight loss supplement. Water has many functions in the body that aid in fat loss. It helps in metabolizing food products and also the draining out of harmful toxins and food remains from the body. Having water regularly can suppress hunger and thus, help in fat reduction.

5 Tips for Guys on How to Get the Ladies to Notice You

Some guys just naturally have what it takes to get girls to notice them while some do not. It's just a fact. There are as many different ways to attract a woman as there are women on the planet, so let's go over some basic rules that will win over any woman worth getting.

1. Your body language.

If “eyes are the windows to the soul”, your body language is more like a mirror. So be careful about how to move when you are with a woman since she will immediately pick up non-verbal cues implied by your body language. Apart from this a woman would also judge your comfort or interest level in her from the way you may be slightly leaning forward or sitting rigidly when sitting across her. Finally an upright but relaxed behavior can go a long way in making you appear healthy and confident while a slouching or restless posture might be interpreted negatively.

2. Your manners.

Finally there is still no substitute for good manners when it comes to making the right impression, the first time. Arriving on time to pick up your date, holding the door open for her and generally following the dictum ‘ladies first’ will not only mark you out as a gentleman in the best sense of the word but more importantly make her feel really special.

3. Work on your appearance.

Yes, it would be nice if girls didn't care how you dressed or cut your hair. But they do. Not only does it enhance or detract from your appearance, but it says something about whom and what you are. If you dress boring, people will think you're boring. So, check out your appearance and see if you're sending signals to the world about who you really are.

4. Be bold.

The guys who are bold and ready to take chances are the guys who always have a lot of fun and create interesting memories all the time. Girls always love a guy who’s bold enough to do something that many may consider embarrassing or awkward. Participate in something when she’s around, be it karaoke or a friendly competition between friends. Get her attention while doing something that catches attention and she’ll definitely be in awe of you.

5. Develop a sense of humor.

We all know girls love guys that can make them laugh. So, learn how to make them laugh. It's not impossible. Learn some jokes. Short jokes are best, because if a girl doesn't know you she may not wait for the punch line. Or start noticing things you think are funny so that you can relate them to others when talking. Keep mental notes. In short, do whatever it takes to teach you to make girls laugh. It'll work great in attracting her towards you.

Getting a girl to notice you is not that difficult if you apply these smart tips. Apart from these, just don’t forget to be yourself. Don’t over –do any of the above things. Keep this up, and the girl of your dreams will be yours! Moroccan Oil Can Grow Your Hair

Moroccan oil is also commonly known as Argan oil as it is acquired from the Argan trees in Morocco. Argan oil is derived from the kernels contained in the Argan tree fruits. The tree is very rare and is only grown in certain places like Morocco. Moroccan oil is therefore considered to be one of the rarest oils in the world due to the limited growth space and small supply.

Moroccan oil holds numerous hair benefits such as natural moisturizing, damage control and protection from UV light. Moroccan hair oil is suitable for all hair types and can benefit both men and women alike. Additionally, Moroccan oil does not leave greasy deposits on the hair and naturally nourishes it without the need for chemical treatments and damaging detergents.

The most important aspect of Argan oil is that it can dramatically increase hair growth. Her are some other benefits of Moroccan oil and why you should buy it to optimize your hair health:

Naturally reduces frizz and moisturizes the hair

Moroccan oil is chosen by many people around the globe because it naturally moisturizes their hair, nourishes it and prevents frizz at the same time. Many people like to link the moisturizing benefits of Argan oil similar to those of olive oil or coconut oil. For those who have not achieved best results with basic oils, perhaps it is time you consider massaging your scalp and hair with Moroccan oil. This oil is especially designed for those people with naturally coarse hair and African-American hair types. Women with hair that seems dry or damaged due to hair dyes may also benefit from Argan oil. Moreover, the oil prevents the hair from getting frizzy the whole day.The moisturizing factor of Moroccan oil maintains damage free hair without frizz or split ends. This makes it an excellent treatment for women who frequently blow dry, iron or curl their hair. Therefore, many hair experts suggest using Moroccan oil as it reduces heat damage and makes the hair easier to manage.

Gives your hair a Natural Shine

Moroccan oil is an excellent substitute for hairsprays as it maintains the style of the hair and keeps it shiny all day long. Frequent use of hairsprays also leads to chemical buildup in the hair which can be very damaging in the long run. Therefore, try spraying some Moroccan oil on your hair to make it look naturally soft and shiny.

Protects Your Hair From Damage

Moroccan oil contains vitamins and nutrients which are needed for proper hair growth and hair protection. The vitamins also keep the hair healthy and strong. Some of the vitamins contained in Argan oil include vitamin E and vitamin F which offer UV ray protection from the sun. Moroccan also contains phenols, carotenes and a blend of fatty acids including linoleic acid and oleic acid.

Where to Purchase

You can purchase Morrocan Oil as well as many other Argon Hair Care Products directly from our store. If there is a particular hair care product, that you are looking for, please contact us directly for more information.

How to Become A Model

Many people dream of having a modeling career- livings as a high profile symbol of beauty and enjoying a life of excitement, fame and luxury while earning a great deal of money.

If you are one of those seeking out this career, there is one thing that you should never forget-behind the glamor, glitz and high income lies the reality that this field is challenging, highly competitive and relatively restrictive with regards to acceptable physical characteristics even though this is slowly changing.

In the not too distant past, only a narrow range of people were deemed model quality, which meant being tall, thin and angular, presenting body types and images of beauty attainable by only a narrow segment of the populace. For those considering modeling, today's industry portrays a much wider diversity of body types and widening standards of what is considered beautiful opening doors to people who would have never had a chance in this career years ago.

Healthy Appearance, Features and Symmetry

Regardless of your body type and modeling aspirations, there are certain characteristics all models should bring to the table. Perhaps the most important is being healthy or giving the appearance of health. Height, weight, complexion and hair quality, head to toe body symmetry and other subtle subjective features are taken into consideration.

Types of Modeling

Catwalks Models are perhaps the highest profile models, displaying fashions while strutting along catwalks in high heels amongst the glare of flashing cameras. Body types most successful in this category are tall (over 5"8),thin and small to moderate breast sizes.Glamorous and lucrative as field, it is also very grueling and demanding.

Underwear models can be of varying sizes, yet generally tend to have larger breasts and slender hips. However, more and more plus sized people are being seen in today's fashion magazines, so don't be discouraged if you are not stick-thin and small breasted.

Plus sized models reflect the growing number of curvaceous and fuller bodied people who have been made to feel less than beautiful in the full range of desired traits, don't give up on your modeling career dreams. There is a robust field of modeling involving body parts, hands, feet, and hair as well as other body features such as eyes, ears, etc.

Head Shots, Body Shots and Comp Cards

Agencies will insist you provide them with pictures of yourself in order for them to judge your modeling potential for the truth is, the camera does not favor everyone, and the camera doesn't lie. Depending on your body type and photogenic characteristics, the camera can actually add weight to your appearance. Head shots and composition cards which are a collection of different shots on one page, are also required at auditions and should always be near at hand in case they are requested. Recommendation: invest in a professional photographer and shun snap shots, even if agencies say snap shots are acceptable. Generally, one good booking will more than pay for the cost of a professional shoot and head shot printing.

So what else can you do? Research reputable modeling agencies. The key word here is reputable. There are many businesses advertising as modeling agencies that are in truth nothing more than scams seeking income streams from the uninformed via offers of expensive, never ending modeling classes and other too good to be true promises. Reputable agencies never charge you a fee for representation, their income comes from you booking you - wherein they withdraw anywhere from a 7-15 percent fee. If you want to take classes, ask your agency where to take proven classes.

Be professional. Whether the project is large or small in scale, if you are wanted for an audition or are booked both client and agency have invested time and money in you and expect you to perform. This means always being punctual, arriving prepared if there is no makeup artist involved, knowing your lines and not causing problems. Perhaps the most important trait you possess other than physical characteristics is your reputation which once damaged can almost never be prepared.

These five areas of consideration will help you better define your modeling aspiration and provide guidance in realization of your modeling career goals. There is a lot of information we have not covered here, so please do more research before entering this career or any other.

Dreaming of being a model? Go for it. Contemporary models reflect a range of sizes, heights, skin and hair colors and there is every expectation that diversity in the modeling field will continue expanding. Therefore never fret, that you aren't that thin super model type; with hard work, determination and a bit of luck, you never know how far you can go in your dream of being a model.

Colored Contacts for More Beautiful Eyes

No-matter your current color—brown, blue or green—colored contact lenses are an easy and affordable method of changing one’s personal image and is a practice enjoyed on a daily basis by people from all walks of life.

Contact lenses, composed of soft, oxygen-permeable polymers, are worn on the cornea and used for corrective and cosmetic purposes, the latter being the focus of this article. If you’re curious about using colored contacts, here are a few basic facts. Three tints form the basis of colored contacts: visibility, enhancement and opaque color. Visibility tints are generally a subtle blue or green hue designed to aid the user in inserting, removing or otherwise locating the lens.

Deciding the proper color depends upon your objectives. If you have light skin and light eye color, a warm-toned hue might be most effective. If you have dark or brown skin, colors such as gray, hazel and violet are good options. If you are not sure, always ask the opinion of someone you trust or take a few photos of yourself to get a realistic perception of what colors look best on you before committing to one color or another.

Non prescription colored contacts are the way to go for people wanting to change their looks. You can
